A warm welcome to our Lodge
We are a friendly group of men from every walk of life across Medway who meet at the Franklin Rooms in Gillingham. Freemasonry gives us lasting friendships, a way to work on ourselves, and the chance to support our neighbours and good causes — which is exactly what our name, Benevolence, has meant here since 1787.

Did you know?
We first met in a Chatham tavern in 1787
Our Lodge was warranted on 13 December 1787 by the “Antients” Grand Lodge and held its first meetings at the Crown & Thistle Tavern in Chatham. More than 235 years later we are still meeting, still making friends, and still serving Medway.
